Crown Hill Foundation Tree Giveaway

The Crown Hill Arboretum is looking forward to helping our community neighbors grow our urban forest canopy, one tree at a time, by making tree seedlings available again this year. Anyone can pick up a seedling April 22-28 from the front porch of the Waiting Station (3402 Boulevard Place). Free saplings are while supplies last — one sapling per family.

This year, two species of trees are available: bald cypress (Taxodium distichum) and chestnut oak (Quercus Montana or formerly known as Quercus prinus). A big thank you to the IDNR Division of Forestry Vallonia Tree Seedling Nursery for producing high quality tree seedlings.

Plant a tree for Arbor Day. Free saplings are available starting April 22 from the Crown Hill Foundation, Waiting Station Porch.
