Tours & Events
Crown Hill isn’t just a cemetery. It’s an Indiana landmark, an attraction people can appreciate all year round. The spring blooms are magical, the fall colors breathtaking, the winter landscape a wonder to behold.
For many years, the Crown Hill Heritage Foundation has provided tours, educational programs, and special events for thousands of students, families, and tourists who visit Crown Hill.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we must cancel some events and a portion of our Public Tours for the 2021 season, including our Music of the Night Concerts in October.
Public Tours will begin with our new Indy Bicentennial walking tour on Saturday, July 10! Please check our Public Tour page for all the details and to purchase tickets!
Private Group Tours will resume in July 2021 and must be arranged at least two weeks in advance.
Please visit our Self-Guided Tour page to download our new Tree Map/Tour, the Bicentennial Tour, and our Racing Legends Tour. You can also download our new Tour App!
The cemetery is open for visitors! Please download our Visitor’s Guide/Map and our Exercise Maps. Our gates are open from 8 am to 8 pm daily through September, and from 8 am to 6 pm from October through April 1.

In the interest of the safety of our visitors and employees during the Covid-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the public Memorial Day celebration in 2021. Memorial Day is a big day for Crown Hill — a celebration of patriotism, pride, and freedom. A Hoosier fixture for more than 150 years, it is the longest-running Memorial Day ceremony in Indiana. Because we can’t share this amazing event in person this year, we have produced a short patriotic video to celebrate and honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. This video will transport viewers to the past and invite them to reflect on the present. It will be available to view here at 8:00 a.m. EDT on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, and the various Crown Hill social media outlets.Read MoreMonday, May 31Beyond the Badge 5K Run/Walk
