Tours & Events
Crown Hill isn’t just a cemetery. It’s an Indiana landmark, an attraction people can appreciate all year round. The spring blooms are magical, the fall colors breathtaking, the winter landscape a wonder to behold.
For many years, the Crown Hill Heritage Foundation has provided tours, educational programs and special events for thousands of students, families and tourists who visit Crown Hill. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we must cancel all Public & Private Tours for the 2020 season, as well as our Music of the Night Concerts in October. Please check our calendar below to see if other events will be held before planning to attend. We hope that you will plan to join us in 2021 when we’re able to offer these wonderful programs and events again!
With support from Indiana Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities, we will be producing Virtual & Self-Guided Tours for you to enjoy. Please follow our YouTube Channel and check back for more information!
The cemetery is open for visitors! Please download our Visitor’s Guide/Map and our Exercise Maps. Our gates are open from 8 am to 8 pm daily through September, and from 8 am to 6 pm from October through April 1.

In following the recommendations of the local government, and in the interest of the safety of our visitors and employees during the Covid-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our tours and events through the beginning of June, including the public Memorial Day celebration. Because we can’t share this amazing event in person this year, we have produced a short patriotic video to celebrate and honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We’ve also produced five short videos on the history of our two National Cemeteries and their soldiers. They will be available at 8:00 a.m. EDT on Memorial Day, May 25.
