John Morton-Finney

(1889-1998) Section 46B, Lot 445

Morton-Finney packed a lot of living and learning into his 108 years. He earned eleven degrees in all, teaching languages at Crispus Attucks High School for 47 years as well as practicing law until he retired at 106 years old.

A Buffalo Soldier just before WWI, he was Indiana’s Oldest Living Veteran at the time of his death. The IPS Headquarters is named in his honor of his long service to education.
