Homeschool Day 2023
What a phenomenal day of learning here at Crown Hill for our inaugural Homeschool Day on October 4! With nearly 500 attendees, beautiful weather and multiple educational exhibits from around Indianapolis, the day couldn’t have been more perfect. Homeschool students, ranging in ages from preschool through high school, had opportunities to learn from tree climbers, stone carvers, monarch butterfly experts, the “Woods on Wheels” interactive trailer, Civil War medicine reenactments, Heritage Tours, symbolism scavenger hunts, and so much more!
One parent stated, “This was a great event! I’ve heard from multiple families how much they enjoyed this event! It was well-organized and well laid out with so many new things to do for all ages. It never felt overly crowded and had plenty of offerings without feeling overwhelming. I think the overall favorite was the tree climbing with the guided tour being a close second for both older kids and adults! Thank you so much for providing a fantastic day. For most of us, it was our first visit to Crown Hill with our kids. The event showed us how to make a beautiful resource interesting and engaging to our families. Please tell all the staff, donors, sponsors, and volunteers that their kindness and enthusiasm was appreciated!” Our Foundation is incredibly grateful to the volunteers and exhibitors that helped make this day possible!
