Crown Hill Arborist Earns National Award!
When Carrie Tauscher joined Crown Hill Cemetery three years ago, it was an aspiring arboretum. In the few short years, not only has Crown Hill earned the Arboretum II designation, but it has also educated thousands, increased awareness of the importance of Crown Hill, and has increased its canopy and positive impact on the city by planting over 100 new trees per year. It is this work, plus the years of her work in the arboricultural world, that earned Carrie the award from the National Garden Clubs, Inc.
The National Garden Clubs, Inc. (NGC) presented their Non-Member Award of Excellence to Crown Hill’s own Carrie Tauscher. Carrie’s nomination was sponsored by The Garden Club of Indiana, Inc., and is the highest NGC non-member award given to an individual, organization or institution that has made a significant contribution toward the advancement of goals and purposes of National Garden Clubs.
Congrats to Carrie!
