Feathers and Fermentation Tour

Join Wes Homoya—native Hoosier, avid birder, experienced guide, and passionate conservationist—as we explore nature and history!

We’ll meet at 2 pm at Ash & Elm Cider Co. for introductions and a guided tasting. The first stop is Crown Hill Cemetery, a 500-acre green space with over 10,000 trees and diverse wildlife. Stephanie Ertel, Director of Education & Engagement at Crown Hill, will provide historical insights as we explore the site’s rich avian and historical features.

Next, we’ll visit The Abandoned Station Brewery on the near Northside for post-tour enjoyment and discussion. We’ll return to Ash & Elm around 6:30 pm, where you can stay to eat and chat about birds until you’re ready to head home.

Dress for the weather and bring binoculars if you have them (limited pairs available). Bottled water and cups will be provided on the bus (or bring your reusable bottle).

The cost is $45 per person, with all profits benefiting the Indiana Audubon Society and the Crown Hill Foundation. This event is open to those aged 21 and older.
