Arbor Day Celebration 2022

Arbor Day at Crown Hill Cemetery was celebrated on April 29, 2022, the 150th anniversary of this national holiday that looks toward improving the future of our country through the planting of trees. With the support of the Indianapolis Garden Club, Crown Hill Arborist Carrie Tauscher and volunteers successfully planted 25 native trees in Section 24 near the Gothic Chapel.

Thank you to the volunteers and those who attended Carrie’s lunchtime walkabout! She discussed the plantings, some unique trees on site, and future plans as we work to become an accredited arboretum.
