Road by Road
If these roads could talk, they would tell the stories of more than 200,000 whose final resting place is Crown Hill Cemetery. The Roads to History.
The dirt pathways of the horse and buggy era have given way to today's paved surfaces that continue to follow the natural terrain of the grounds through the cemetery. Each year visitors and funeral processions take their toll on Crown Hill's roads. Many of the cemetery's twenty-five miles of roads require repaving and resurfacing.
